Historical Fashion: 1930's Day Ensemble

For the second installment of Historical Fashion (any name suggestions?), I wanted to share my love of Madeline Vionnet. She was a complete pioneer in bias-cut dresses, which flatter the body by smoothing the garment over it. Vionnet was a great inspiration of mine in college.

What I really loved about this particular outfit is that it appears so modern and minimal, even though it was made in 1933. It is the definition of timeless and definitely qualifies as Circa Style!

This is part of The Victoria and Albert Museum's collection in London. They really have a wonderful collection that I hope to check in person someday.

1930s style is just the best! We have quite a few jewelry pieces in my shop that would match that pretty perfectly. I adore the cloak. I hope you get to see it in person some day!

Stay fabulous!
